FAQs

Dealers can increase ticket size by offering key accessories that enhance protection and performance. Lennox offers expansion tanks and drain pans, giving you a convenient one stop shop for essential water heating components. These add-ons elevate installation quality while creating easy revenue opportunities.

Annual flushing, anode inspections, tankless descaling, T&P valve inspection, and expansion tank checks keep performance optimized and reduces warranty claims and callbacks.

Incorrect sizing, scale buildup, recirculation errors, and thermostat misconfiguration lead to most callbacks. Commission thoroughly and educate the homeowner before leaving.

Scale buildup, neglected anode rods, excess system pressure, and skipped maintenance all reduce lifespan. All Lennox models feature a PermaClad™ glass-lined, heavy-gauge steel tank with dual cathodic protection. Select Lennox models feature the SediMotion™ system to help reduce sediment buildup.

Yes—closed plumbing systems require an expansion tank to protect against pressure fluctuations and extend equipment life, ensuring the kind of dependable, worry-free performance Lennox homeowners expect.

Lennox water heater warranties vary by product family. Standard warranties range from 6 to 12 years, depending on the model. Heat Pump units have a 10‑year standard warranty, while Demand Response units offer 12 years. Most other product families including Point of Use, Electric Storage, Low Boy, Light Commercial Electric, Gas Storage, and Heavy Duty - include a 6‑year standard warranty. For gas and electric storage units, adding an anode rod kit can extend the warranty. In nonresidential installations, the warranty is 1 year on the tank and 1 year on all covered parts, regardless of product type.
